Ambi partners with Lantica Media for spanish-language films

The two companies will establish a new postproduction facility specializing in visual effects and 2D to stereoscopic 3D conversion at Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios, under the AIC Studios, the AMBI-owned VFX and animation services company based in Toronto.

AMBI Group has partnered with Caribbean-based Lantica Media to co-produce and co-finance English- and Spanish-language feature films. AMBI and Lantica have committed to making three English- and Spanish-language feature films over the next 3 to 5 years. AMBI Distribution, the global sales arm of the AMBI Group, will oversee worldwide distribution for the slate of co-produced films.

« The Caribbean region is laden with rich story ideas, locations and talented filmmakers, and on a whole, exemplifies the vision we have to make high quality movies that will be appealing on a global scale, » added AMBI co-founder Monika Bacardi.
