MONACO, 8 November 2023 — Lady Monika Bacardi attended GEMLUC’s annual Hope Evening (Soirée de l’Espoir), held at the Automobile Club of Monaco. The distinguished gathering brought together supporters of cancer research in the presence of H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover, Honorary President of GEMLUC, and Miss Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, President of the Monegasque Tennis Federation and the Monte-Carlo Country Club.
The evening assembled approximately 80 guests who engaged with GEMLUC’s board members in an atmosphere of solidarity and commitment. Cancer research and the fight against cancer have been enduring causes championed by Lady Monika Bacardi, who actively contributes to supporting medical advancement.
GEMLUC (Groupement des Entreprises Monégasques dans la Lutte Contre le Cancer) is a non-governmental charitable organization dedicated to raising funds for basic and clinical research, assisting patients and their families, and contributing to prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment.
Founded in 1973 under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Princess Grace, GEMLUC has been under the Honorary Presidency of H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover. Over more than five decades, the organization has donated several million euros to benefit the Monaco Scientific Center, contributing to its international reputation in cancer research, and the Princess Grace Hospital Center through donations of equipment and materials.
