10 years of the prince Albert II of Monaco foundation

Established in 2006, the Prince Albert II Foundation celebrated its 10th anniversary with many personalities, partners and members of the foundation. The Albert II Foundation undertakes actions for the preservation of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development.

Lady Monika Bacardi is a loyal and very active member of this foundation. A press conference and the presentation of the Foundation’s 2016 awards were held at the Yacht Club of Monaco.

Luc Hoffmann was rewarded for his visionary approach to protecting biodiversity and the remarkable initiatives he has developed with the MAVA Foundation, the Tour du Valat biological station, WWF International and the international foundation of Banc d’Arguin, the Water Research Commission, represented by its Director General, Mr Dhesigen Naidoo, for its exemplary actions in South Africa in the sanitation, supply and sustainable management of water resources and Mrs Laurence Tubiana in view of its remarkable commitment to climate issues, the creation of IDDRI and its active participation in the success of the COP 21 negotiations.
