Cannes Festival 2018, Cate Blanchett president of the jury

The 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival will be held from 8 to 19 May 2018 under the chairmanship of the Australian actress Cate Blanchett who will succeed to Pedro Almodovar.

Cate Blanchett won the 2014 Best Actice Academy Award for her role in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmin. In 2004 she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Martin Scorcese’s Aviator. In addition to numerous nominations, she also won the Best Actress Award at the Venice Film Festival for the film I’m not there.
