Monika Bacardi presented The Humbling, directed by Barry Levinson with Al Pacino. This is an adaptation of Philip Roth’s novel.

Simon Axler (Al Pacino) is a well-known actor who has lost the taste for theatre and the pleasure of playing until he met Pegeen (Greta Gerwig), a young admirer. This one takes him on a crazy epic of love in which he feels relived. Her finances and her health are being undermined by this new relationship.

This dramatic comedy, sometimes tragic and often hilarious, was very well received.
