Monika Bacardi and Andrea Iervolino will support their new production: Waiting for the barbarians, presented at the Venice Mostra on September 6

Present on the Cannes markets in May, Monika Bacardi will now support her latest production, which enjoys a remarkable cast as Robert Pattinson, Greta Scacchi and Mark Rylance will be joined by an imperial Johnny Depp as the magistrate of a small colonial town that is beginning to doubt his loyalty to the Empire.

In competition for a prize, this new creation is an adaptation of the 2003 Nobel Prize novel J. M. Coetzee. “The shooting took place at the end of 2018 between Marrakech and Italy under the direction of Colombian director Ciro Guerra. Johnny Depp is a lovely and very professional person,” says Monika, who knows the actor with whom she will be performing on the red carpet in Venice.

The results are expected impatiently on September 6.
