MONACO, 18 July 2017 — Lady Monika Bacardi attended the Summer Dream Concert, a distinguished musical evening organized by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation in partnership with BirdLife International. The prestigious benefit event was held at Monte Carlo Beach, bringing together international figures in support of wildlife conservation and the protection of endangered species.
The evening featured renowned violinist Nemanja Radulović and his ensemble Double Sens, who performed an exceptional program centered on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Radulović, celebrated for his virtuosic technique and passionate interpretations, brought fresh energy to the music of the baroque master, showcasing selections from his acclaimed Deutsche Grammophon recording. His Bach album, released in 2016, had been hailed by critics as one of the year’s most significant classical releases.
The concert exemplified the distinctive artistry for which Radulović has become internationally renowned. A Franco-Serbian virtuoso in the tradition of Eastern European masters, he demonstrated both technical brilliance and emotional depth in his interpretation of Bach’s compositions. The performance reflected the violinist’s dedication to making classical music accessible while maintaining the highest standards of artistic excellence.
The musical evening was complemented by a gourmet dinner crafted by Chef Paolo Sari, whose innovative organic cuisine had recently earned recognition in the Michelin Guide. As Executive Chef of Monte Carlo Beach, Sari was distinguished for his pioneering approach to certified organic gastronomy, bringing both culinary sophistication and environmental consciousness to the evening’s celebration.
The event’s mission focused on supporting the protection of endangered wildlife species, a cause aligned with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s commitment to biodiversity conservation. BirdLife International, the world’s largest nature conservation partnership, served as the Foundation’s collaborator for this initiative, working to safeguard birds, their habitats, and global biodiversity.
Lady Monika Bacardi’s attendance reflected her ongoing dedication to environmental conservation and cultural patronage. Her presence at this convergence of artistic excellence and humanitarian purpose underscored her commitment to initiatives that unite Monaco’s cultural sophistication with meaningful conservation action.
The evening brought together H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Ms. Patricia Zurita, Chief Executive Officer of BirdLife International, H.R.H. Prince Michel of Yugoslavia, and H.E. Mr. Bernard Fautrier, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, alongside other distinguished guests committed to protecting the planet’s natural heritage.
