The distinguished film, directed by Johnny Depp and featuring Italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio in the role of renowned painter Amedeo Modigliani, was screened out of competition at the prestigious Basque Country cinematic event.

Modi – Three Days on the Wing of Madness chronicles a seventy-two-hour whirlwind in the life of bohemian artist Amedeo Modigliani during 1916 in war-torn Paris. The narrative follows Modi as he navigates a chaotic series of events alongside fellow artists Maurice Utrillo and Chaim Soutine, while seeking counsel from his art dealer Leopold Zborowski. The film explores the crescendo of creative turmoil when Modi encounters American collector Maurice Gangnat, whose patronage holds the power to transform the artist’s destiny.
Produced by Modi Productions Limited and IN.2 Film, with co-production from ILBE S.p.A. and Barry Navidi Productions, the film represents a sophisticated collaboration bringing together British, Hungarian, and Italian cinematic expertise.
