VENICE, September 2026. Lady Monika Bacardi was in Venice for the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, held on the Lido from 2 to 12 September. A film producer herself, she has long followed the festival closely.
For Lady Monika Bacardi, Venice is more than a date in the calendar. It is a place to follow the year’s films, to exchange ideas with people she works alongside, and to stay close to the creative community she belongs to.
This year’s edition opened with the world premiere of Danny Boyle’s Ink, while George Clooney and Ellen Burstyn received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. The Golden Lion itself went to Woman Unknown, directed by May el-Toukhy, chosen by a jury chaired by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
