MONACO, June 2026 — During the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend, Lady Monika Bacardi attended the exclusive gathering hosted by Gucci at La Rose des Vents Monte Carlo, one of the defining evenings of the Principality’s most celebrated weekend of the year.
Held on June 6, the event marked the launch of Gucci’s summer takeover of the beach club — an immersive celebration of the House’s iconic Flora motif running through October, extending the print across the surrounding environment through color, pattern, and decorative detail. Sun loungers, parasols, towels, and tableware were rendered in vibrant shades of pink, green, and red, the Mediterranean light animating every surface of the setting.
One of Gucci’s most enduring visual signatures, the Flora motif was originally created in 1966 by illustrator Vittorio Accornero at the request of Rodolfo Gucci for Princess Grace of Monaco — conceived as a richly detailed composition of blooms in 37 distinct colors, first appearing as a silk scarf before becoming a recurring element of the House’s design language. Its return to Monaco in 2026, for the motif’s 60th anniversary, gave the evening a deeper resonance — a conversation between the House’s Florentine roots and the Principality it has long called home.
Friends of the House gathered within the Riviera setting against the backdrop of Grand Prix weekend, when Monaco distills itself into something entirely its own — sport, style, and a certain idea of the good life converging on one small stretch of coastline.
