The distinguished film, directed by Johnny Depp and featuring Italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio in the role of renowned painter Amedeo Modigliani, was screened out of competition at the prestigious Basque Country cinematic event.

The narrative follows Modi as he navigates a chaotic series of events alongside fellow artists Maurice Utrillo and Chaim Soutine, while seeking counsel from his art dealer Leopold Zborowski. The film explores the crescendo of creative turmoil when Modi encounters American collector Maurice Gangnat, whose patronage holds the power to transform the artist’s destiny.
Produced by Modi Productions Limited and IN.2 Film, with co-production from ILBE S.p.A. and Barry Navidi Productions, the film represents a sophisticated collaboration bringing together British, Hungarian, and Italian cinematic expertise.
