TORONTO, 2015 — Lady Monika Bacardi of AMBI Group visited the set of Rupture, a science fiction thriller produced by her company. The visit provided an opportunity to meet with the production team, including director Steven Shainberg and the cast, on location during filming.
Rupture, directed by Steven Shainberg and written by Brian Nelson and Shainberg, stars Noomi Rapace, Peter Stormare, Michael Chiklis, and Kerry Bishé. The film follows a single mother who is abducted by a mysterious organization and must find a way to escape.
Lady Monika Bacardi served as producer on the project alongside Andrea Iervolino, Andrew Lazar, Steven Shainberg, and Christina Weiss Lurie through AMBI Group’s production banner. The film premiered in 2016 at the Fantasia International Film Festival before its theatrical release in April 2017.
Rupture represents part of AMBI Group’s growing portfolio of independent film productions, combining psychological thriller elements with science fiction storytelling. The film explores themes of human evolution and transformation through its suspenseful narrative.
