MONACO, 23 January 2025 — Today marks twenty years since the passing of Lord Luis Bacardi, yet the memory of our love remains as vivid as yesterday. Time has done nothing to diminish the ache of his absence, though it has deepened my gratitude for the extraordinary years we shared together.
Lord Luis Bacardi was my partner, my confidant, and the greatest love of my life. Together, we built a life filled with joy, challenges, and a bond that transcends even time itself. Our daughter Maria Luisa, who carries so much of her father’s spirit and kindness, stands as a living reminder of the exceptional man he was—a devoted father whose love continues to guide us both.
She has grown into someone who would make her father immensely proud. Strong and compassionate, with her father’s distinctive sense of humour, I see Lord Luis reflected in her every day—in her smile, in her determination, in the grace with which she moves through the world.
Though Lord Luis is no longer here in physical form, his love remains my source of strength. It comforts me during quiet moments and inspires me to live fully, as he would have wanted.
