This year, on the occasion of Europe Day , the “Intelletto delle donne” was held, the event dedicated to the commitment of the Tuscany Region to promote gender equality and break down the threshold of inequalities still present in society, in line with the principles dictated by the European Union , which for years now has considered the removal of obstacles to the full expression of women’s potential for creativity and talent, a strategic task for the construction of inclusive, equitable and sustainable development.

“Rights, but also qualities, talents, merits. It is the sense of our commitment to women and with women. The title of this day inevitably recalls a verse from Dante: «Women who have the intellect of ‘love”, but also the words of Rita Levi Montalcini: “Women are the backbone of society”. And if the backbone supports the entire body, therefore the whole of society, betting on women is everyone’s bet. It is what Tuscany does with the ATI project – the Etruscan name of the woman: a project that Europe co-finances and which we propose to Europe as a model.” commented Eugenio Giani, President of the Tuscany Region.
