Monika Gomez Del Campo Bacardi, Lady of Bayfield Hall, is a multi-award-winning film producer, philanthropist, and art patron with an education in art, literature, and languages. Italian by birth, she is fluent in French, German, English, and Spanish, maintaining film production and distribution companies in Rome, Los Angeles, and Belgrade.
Lady Monika Bacardi was married to Luis Adalberto Facundo Gomez Del Campo Bacardi, known as Lord Luis Bacardi, who served on the board of directors of the renowned spirits company for over 40 years. Together they had a daughter, Maria Luisa. Following her husband’s passing, Lady Monika Bacardi has continued to honor his legacy through her philanthropic work and commitment to excellence in the arts.
Her entry into cinema began in 2013 when she founded several international production and distribution companies. In 2021, she received the Award for Best Producer of the Year at the Los Angeles Italy Award, hosted by the Capri in the World Institute. The following year, her production companies entered the Euronext Growth Paris market, and Lady Monika Bacardi was recognized in Forbes Italy’s annual ranking of women distinguished for ingenuity, tenacity, and expertise.
Lady Monika Bacardi has consistently used cinema to advocate for environmental protection and gender equality. Her film “Tell It Like a Woman,” released in 2021, features internationally renowned directors and actresses including Eva Longoria, Margherita Buy, Cara Delevingne, and Jennifer Hudson. For this project, she received the Taormina Excellence Award at the 2022 Taormina Film Festival.
Beyond her contributions to cinema, Lady Monika Bacardi is deeply committed to philanthropic causes. She has served on the board of directors of the Centre Scientifique de Monaco since 2021, supporting marine biology research initiatives. She is also a board member of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, working to raise public awareness of ocean conservation.
